I also agree that professional development and collaboration among the key instructional stakeholders is so important. Too often, schools fail to put the emphasis here, where it is needed, especially in light of high stakes testing. I feel that any effective plan should have professional development not only initially, but throughout, in order to help all make a positive impact on the teaching and learning process. After all, isn't that what the focus should be?
Hi Tysheonna, You are so articulate and bring such clarity to the table with regard to explaining what our group was working towards on the literature review and research prospectus. Boy, it's been a long semester! You have persevered through a lot, and it's been a pleasure to work with you. I hope that we can each take a bit of the thoughts we've generated about professional development and taking time to understand our peers and improve our own workplaces. We have to let our lights shine...
